Surfside at Square Bay is a new home just finished in September 2021. It is just a few yards from the waters of Lake Huron, about 5 minutes west of the Beach House at Square Bay. The shoreline has gradual deepening, ideal for children, but they must be supervised. Surfside features two king-size bedrooms each with its own bathroom. The second bathroom is shared with the bunk-bed room. This cottage could easily be shared with another couple. There is a central modern kitchen with an island, living and dining area. Fridge, gas stove and dishwasher are included. There is a storage area featuring a washer and drier (included for 2022), extra sink and ample shelving. The front of Surfside features a ceiling to floor glass wall extending in front of the dining and living room areas. A large deck accessible from this area allows perfect view of Lake Huron, about 40 yards away. All furnishings are new and attractive and suit the quality of this home. This area is home to migrating monarch butterflies and sandhill cranes. The waves are often ideal for surfing but canoes, kayaks and paddle boards are popular too. We have a kayak and canoe available for visitors. A fire pit with comfortable chairs is also available, as is wood for the fire. Manitoulin Island has many attractive locations to visit, such as the Bridal Veil Falls, Ten Mile Point, Pow Wows, and lots of festivals in the summer. Birds, such as owls, Sandhill Cranes, eagles are plentiful, as are deer and other forms of wildlife.
